WHS Messenger Live Chat

THIS SYSTEM ONLY WORKS AT HOME AT PRESENT

WHS Messenger is a place where you can chat live and leave messages for pupils and staff at Westhoughton High School. It is very similar to MSN Messenger, and at present it will not be available in school, only at home.

To chat, make up a User Name and enter it in the window below, then click the 'Connect' button. To make the WHS Messenger chat room larger or fill the screen, click the 'Float or Unfloat' button (with four arrows on it) on the icon bar, just above the chat line.

If you want to leave a permanent message, use the 'comments' at the bottom of this page, and don't forget to include your own name as well as the name of the person you are trying to contact.

All permanent messages will be moderated (read by a member of staff) before they appear in this blog, and once they are published, they can be read by anyone in the world. So no personal or confidential information please.

If you want to sign the WHS Visitors' Book, use this blog instead.

P.S. You may need to download and install or update your Java software to get WHS Messenger running. This really is very easy - just go to the Java website at www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and install it from there by clicking on the 'Download Now' button and following the onscreen instructions.
